Lead DevOps Manager - CI/CD Pipeline

Description :

Role & responsibilities :

- Own and manage the end-to-end DevOps function across development, staging, and production environments

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Lead the architecture and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable releases

- Manage and improve Kubernetes-based container orchestration platforms

- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance using monitoring, alerting, and incident

response practices

- Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using tools like Terraform

- Drive automation across infrastructure and deployment workflows to reduce manual effort

- Implement and maintain observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing)

- Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems

- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to improve release processes and system design

- Ensure security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines (DevSecOps)

- Optimize cloud cost and resource utilization (FinOps practices)

- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers; contribute to hiring and team growth

- Define and maintain DevOps best practices, standards, and documentation

Preferred candidate profile :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Experience :

- 5 to 10 years in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering roles

- Proven experience handling production systems at scale

- Prior experience in a lead or mentoring role

Technical Skills :

Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Strong experience with AWS / Azure / GCP

- Deep understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud architecture

Containers & Orchestration :

- Hands-on expertise in Docker and Kubernetes

- Experience managing production-grade clusters

CI/CD & Automation :

- Experience with Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI

- Strong understanding of pipeline design and deployment strategies

Infrastructure as Code :

- Proficiency in Terraform (preferred) or similar tools

Monitoring & Reliability :

- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools

- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and incident management

Scripting / Programming :

- Proficiency in Python, Bash (Go is a plus)

Soft Skills / Leadership :

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset

- Ability to lead technical decisions and mentor teams

- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration

- Ownership mindset with focus on reliability and efficiency

Good to Have :

- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)

- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices

- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments

- Experience in high-growth startups or large-scale systems
