Lead Data Scientist - Python/Scikit-Learn

Role : Lead Data Scientist

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join one of the world's top-tier management consulting organizations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of advanced analytics, strategic business thinking, and client engagement. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be a trusted advisor to clients, leading end-to-end AI/ML engagements and driving business growth through data-driven solutions.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex business problems into machine learning models, while also playing a key role in building and nurturing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a strategic advisor on data science and AI initiatives.

- Lead client engagements from proposal to delivery, ensuring consistent value delivery and client satisfaction.

- Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to support pre-sales, prepare proposals, and craft data-driven value propositions.

- Identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients by introducing new analytics solutions and capabilities.

- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models including but not limited to Random Forest, XGBoost, SVM, and deep learning techniques as needed.

- Translate business problems into structured analytical frameworks and deliver actionable insights.

- Oversee a team of data scientists and analysts in end-to-end model development, validation, and implementation.

- Work hands-on with tools and libraries such as Python, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.

- Guide junior team members and contribute to the recruitment, training, and mentorship of data scientists.

- Drive innovation in analytics by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies (e.g., Generative AI, MLOps, etc.).

- Represent the firm in thought leadership forums, whitepapers, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, with at least 3 years in a client-facing/consulting leadership role.

- Strong expertise in Python, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, and common supervised/unsupervised ML algorithms.

- Demonstrated success in delivering high-impact AI/ML solutions to business problems in areas such as customer analytics, risk modeling, operations optimization, etc.

- Proven ability to engage with C-level executives, understand business objectives, and drive analytics strategy.
