Lead Data Scientist - Python

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data Scientist to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will lead a team of data scientists and analysts, design advanced analytical models, and provide strategic insights to solve complex business problems.

This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists to deliver high-impact projects and solutions.

- Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and statistical analyses to extract insights and support business goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and business units to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.

- Define the data science roadmap and priorities aligned with company strategy.

- Oversee the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large and complex datasets.

- Ensure robustness, scalability, and reliability of data science models in production environments.

- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Stay up-to-date with latest trends, tools, and techniques in data science and machine learning.

- Establish best practices for data science processes, including model validation, experimentation, and documentation.

- Support the adoption of AI and automation initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications :

- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

- 7+ years of experience in data science, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining.

- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data science libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.

- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Strong background in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, etc.

- Proven experience managing and mentoring data science teams.

- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
