Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in building and implementing machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. You will be responsible for leading the entire data science lifecycle, from mining vast datasets to delivering actionable insights and production-ready models. This role requires a strong technical background, a knack for discovering new ideas, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Algorithm & Model Development :

- Design, code, experiment with, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.

- Focus on maximizing customer experience, optimizing supply-side value, and improving key business outcomes.

Big Data Analysis & Insights :

- Mine and analyze vast datasets, including hundreds of millions of customer records and daily user-generated events.

- Discover actionable insights from supplier and pricing data to drive business improvements and innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and various business owners to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data-driven solutions.

- Communicate complex findings and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Research & Innovation :

- Continuously research and discover new ideas and technologies in the data science field.

- Harness emerging trends and best practices to make a significant difference in the company's approach to data.

Required Skills :

Core Experience :

- 9-14 years of experience as a data scientist or in a similar analytical role.

- Proven track record of designing and implementing models that have a direct impact on business outcomes.

Technical Proficiency :

- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.

- Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

- Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Data & Analytics :

- Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

- Proven ability to discover and present actionable insights from large, complex datasets.

Leadership & Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Generative AI models or Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data-related services.

- Experience with MLOps for deploying and managing models in a production environment.

- Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

- Experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
