Location : Chennai (Parrys Corner) / Bengaluru (Koramangala)

Employment Type : Full-time /Permanent or Full-time / Contract (Hybrid option available under contract model)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and scale robust data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data engineering, strong Python skills, and experience leading teams or driving end-to-end data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes

- Architect and manage data platforms for structured and unstructured data

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Analytics, and Product

- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across systems

- Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency

- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in data engineering

- Manage large datasets and enable real-time/batch data processing systems

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles

- Strong programming expertise in Python

- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Spark, etc.)

- Solid understanding of data warehousing and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is preferred

- Strong problem-solving and system design skills

- Proven experience in leading projects or teams

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors or Masters degree from a premium institution

- Background in Engineering or Statistics is mandatory

Work Model & Compensation :

- WFO for permanent full time role. Salary (Fixed + Variable pay)

- Hybrid work option can be considered only under contract model

- Fixed pay only for hybrid/contract roles (no incentives will be applicable)
