About the Role :
We are hiring for our client a leading healthcare technology company building scalable, secure, and intelligent data platforms that support clinical diagnostics, research, and analytics. This role is a hybrid of hands-on technical leadership and team management, focused on delivering robust data infrastructure on AWS to support 300+ business-critical dashboards, analytics, and machine learning workflows.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable cloud-native data platform using AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, ECS, etc.).
- Manage and mentor a team of platform/data engineers to deliver high-quality, reusable infrastructure and data components.
- Drive architecture decisions focused on scalability, developer productivity, and security.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with InfoSec to ensure platform security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Support operational monitoring, incident response, and platform reliability across all environments.
- Coordinate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver domain-aligned data solutions.
Required Skills :
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or engineering management roles.
- Strong expertise in AWS data stack : S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda, ECS, etc.
- Proficient in Python and/or Scala for data engineering and automation.
- Deep understanding of Apache Spark for both batch and streaming use cases.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead teams building scalable data infrastructure and pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data governance, platform security, and compliance (HIPAA/SOC2).
Good to Have :
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Data Mesh or domain-oriented data platform design.
- Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Experience integrating with BI tools like Tableau or Looker.
