About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with deep expertise in Azure to spearhead a critical data migration engagement. This role is for a hands-on leader who will be responsible for designing and optimizing data pipelines, advancing our technical architecture, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable data solutions. You will play a key role in both technical execution and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Migration & Pipeline Optimization :

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of data solutions that meet complex business and enterprise requirements.

- Drive data migration efforts and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and related technologies.

- Participate in rapid prototyping and Proof of Concept (POC) development to validate new approaches.

Architectural Leadership & Best Practices :

- Advance the overall enterprise technical architecture and establish implementation best practices.

- Assist in developing and refining both functional and non-functional requirements.

- Inform and contribute to iteration and release planning.

Quality & Delivery :

- Ensure the production of high-quality, properly functioning deliverables on the first attempt.

- Take ownership of tasks and deliver work products according to established deadlines.

- Estimate tasks with a high degree of granularity and accuracy.

Requirements :

Education : Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

- Cloud : Strong expertise in Azure, with hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data migration and pipeline orchestration.

- Data Engineering : Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable data solutions.

- Databases : Proficiency in working with various database systems, including both relational and non-relational.

- Programming : Strong coding skills with a focus on producing clean, structured, and maintainable code.

- Compliance : Knowledge of, adherence to, and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations as they pertain to data.

- Collaboration : Experience in participating in agile development processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
