Lead Data Engineer Azure

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Engineer Azure to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cloud-based data architecture, data pipelines, and data modelingwith a strong focus on Azure technologies. You will lead the design, development, and optimization of robust data solutions that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence.


Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and related Azure services.

- Architect and implement ETL/ELT processes that transform and enrich data from multiple sources.

- Ensure high performance and availability of data lake and data warehouse environments

- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and

deliver effective data solutions

- Drive best practices in data governance, data security, quality, and compliance


- Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows, jobs, and storage performance

- Mentor junior data engineers and lead code reviews and architecture discussions

- Stay current with evolving data technologies, tools, and trendsespecially within the Azure ecosystem.


Required Skills :


- 4-7 years of overall experience in Data Engineering

- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms.

Strong expertise in :


- Azure Data Factory

- Azure Databricks / Apache Spark

- Azure Synapse Analytics

- Azure Blob Storage / ADLS

- SQL / T-SQL / Python / Scala

- Experience with data modeling, data lake architectures, and data warehouse concepts

- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)

- Understanding of data security, encryption, masking, and privacy standards.


Good to Have :


- Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
