Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to strengthen and optimize our data infrastructure, which serves as the backbone of our business operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in data engineering, with hands-on experience across PostgreSQL, AWS (Redshift, S3), Apache Airflow, and dbt, and a proven track record in building scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, design, and maintain robust data pipelines, managing large-scale integration into PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, and Amazon Redshift.

- Expand and manage our Amazon S3 data lake, enabling the storage and processing of both structured and unstructured data to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.

- Design and optimize Amazon Redshift data models to ensure accurate, consistent, and performant reporting and analytics through BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.

- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance across PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, and Redshift environments.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of all data infrastructure components to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Evaluate and guide the adoption of emerging data engineering tools and technologies, with a focus on modern ETL processes and advanced analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in :

1. PostgreSQL (data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning)

2. AWS ecosystem Redshift, S3 (data lake), IAM, cost optimization

3. Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration

4. dbt for data transformation and modeling

- Hands-on experience in building and scaling data pipelines for analytics and machine learning use cases.

- Strong understanding of data governance, security best practices, and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
