Job Description :


We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Operations professional to join our dynamic IT team.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud administration, desktop support, access management using Microsoft 365, a foundational understanding of networking, and hands-on experience with cloud services.


This role requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and provide top-notch support to our users.


Additionally, experience with audit requirements and compliance standards such as SOC, ISO, or similar frameworks, along with cloud administration and cost management practices, is essential.


A basic understanding of IT security principles will also be crucial in ensuring that our cloud and desktop environments remain secure.


Key Responsibilities :


- Provide expert-level support for cloud and desktop environments, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of hardware and software.


- Manage user access and permissions using the Microsoft 365 admin center, ensuring compliance with security policies.


- Oversee and manage cloud services (such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) to deploy, manage, and optimize applications and virtual desktops.


- Monitor and manage cloud resource usage to optimize costs and ensure efficient allocation of resources across teams.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud and desktop solutions that meet business needs.


- Develop and implement cloud security policies and practices to protect against vulnerabilities and threats, incorporating basic IT security principles.


- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and frameworks such as SOC, ISO, and others, addressing vulnerabilities and facilitating audit processes.


- Mentor and guide junior engineers and help desk staff in resolving escalated issues.


- Participate in IT projects, including software rollouts, hardware upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.


- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices for cloud management, cost optimization, and IT security.


- Support the implementation of security controls and reporting for audits to ensure a secure and compliant cloud and desktop environment.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in cloud operations, desktop support, or engineering roles.


- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, including user management and security features.


- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.


- Proficient hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).


- Experience with cloud administration tasks, including managing resources and cost management strategies.


- Familiarity with IT security principles, practices, and frameworks.


- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune) is a plus.


- Familiarity with audit requirements and compliance standards such as SOC, ISO, or similar frameworks.


- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.


Preferred Qualifications :


- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Network+, ITIL).


- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.


- Familiarity with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution.
