Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend applications and services.

- Architect and implement secure, high-availability, and performance-driven systems.

- Collaborate with product managers, frontend teams, DevOps, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.

- Drive technical decision-making, coding standards, and best engineering practices.

- Review code, conduct technical discussions, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations.

- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability.

- Ensure system scalability, monitoring, logging, and fault tolerance.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 7+ years of backend development experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.

- Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Express.js, Django, or similar backend frameworks.

- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

- Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

- Strong knowledge of system design, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architecture.

- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

- Exposure to serverless architecture and infrastructure automation tools.

- Prior experience in handling high-traffic enterprise applications.
