Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Lead I Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to build scalable, secure, and cloud-native backend platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing modern backend architectures, developing high-performance APIs, and working in AWS-based environments.

Experience with GraphQL is considered a strong advantage. The candidate should also possess strong problem-solving capabilities, a deep understanding of distributed systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript

- Develop and manage robust APIs using REST and GraphQL architectures

- Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance backend services

- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code practices

- Work with AWS CDK to provision and manage cloud infrastructure

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security

- Implement event-driven and microservices-based architectures

- Participate in system design discussions and technical architecture reviews

- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders

- Write clean, testable, and production-ready code following engineering best practices

- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, integration testing, peer reviews, and CI/CD pipelines

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on stability and performance

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives

- Continuously improve engineering standards, development workflows, and deployment processes

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in Node.js backend development

- Expertise in TypeScript

- Minimum 5+ years of backend development experience

- Strong understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices

- Knowledge of GraphQL concepts including schema design and resolvers

- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS

- Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably AWS CDK

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Experience with Git-based version control systems

- Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and performance optimization

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have Skills :

- Hands-on experience with GraphQL performance tuning

- Experience with serverless architectures

- Exposure to Kafka or event streaming platforms

- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks

- Understanding of observability and monitoring tools

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
