Lead Azure Engineer

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Translate complex business requirements into scalable data architectures, pipelines, and integrations.

- Define best practices, standards, and frameworks for data modeling, ETL, and data governance.

- Provide architectural oversight for Azure services such as Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks, -Analysis Services, and Power BI.

- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across data platforms and pipelines.

- Guide the adoption of modern data lakehouse and warehouse architectures.

- Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new Azure/AWS cloud-native services for analytics.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to align solutions with business strategy.

- Mentor and lead a team of data engineersconducting code reviews, training, and fostering a high-performance culture.

- Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and privacy frameworks.

- Oversee testing, deployment, and release management for data solutions.

- Prepare technical documentation, solution design blueprints, and present architecture reviews to leadership.

Desired Profile :

- 5- 10 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering with at least 3+ years in a lead/architect role.

- Deep expertise in Azure Data Services : Data Factory, ADLS, Blob Storage, Synapse, Databricks, Analysis Services, Power BI.

- Strong experience in SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and advanced database design.

- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data lake architectures.

- Experience managing data ingestion from multiple sources (APIs, CSV, JSON, Parquet, RDBMS, NoSQL).

- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Scala, PowerShell, Unix Shell).

- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps for data (DataOps), test-driven development, and cloud automation (ARM templates, Terraform).

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.

- Knowledge of AWS equivalents (Glue, S3, Athena, Redshift) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proven client-facing experience.
