The core responsibilities for the job include the following :
Automation and Framework Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for both cross-platform-based desktop applications and web portal applications.
- Define and implement automation strategies that complement manual testing efforts.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance areas.
Testing Expertise :
- Drive both manual and automated testing for comprehensive quality coverage.
- Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure reliable regression testing.
- Ensure accurate estimation for automation and testing tasks.
Performance and Scalability :
- Leverage performance testing tools and methodologies to validate system scalability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Leadership :
- Lead the SDET/QA team and provide technical mentorship on automation best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and enforce high-quality coding/testing standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, QA) to ensure seamless test integration.
- Drive test strategy discussions, ensuring alignment with product and organizational goals.
Attention to Detail and Quality Advocacy :
- Champion engineering excellence and best practices for testing.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of automation scripts, frameworks, and overall QA processes.
- Ensure all products and releases meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong expertise in automation and test framework development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent test automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e. g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Good understanding of manual testing principles to complement automation efforts.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in testing both desktop applications and web portals.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e. g., JMeter, Locust).
- Hands-on experience with API testing frameworks (e. g., Postman, Rest Assured).
- Proven ability to lead a team, mentor junior engineers, and scale automation practices.
- Strong focus on quality engineering, reliability, and scalability.
