Required Experience

- 8 to 12 years' experience in building production software, currently hands-on. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or adjacent.

- Backend depth in Python with FastAPI or equivalent, including async, queues and background workers, plus working TypeScript.

- Modern frontend in React and TypeScript : streaming interfaces, state management, component systems.

- API and integration design : REST, SSE or WebSockets, versioning, and contracts that stay stable across clients.

- Shipped LLM-backed or agentic applications to real users in production. Not prototypes, not demos.

- Hands-on agent engineering : retrieval, context assembly, tool and function calling, structured output, orchestration.

- Evaluation of product behaviour : golden sets, regression suites, tracing, human review loops.

- Multi-tenancy, authentication and authorisation, RBAC, SSO with Entra ID.

- Performance and cost at the application layer : caching, batching, token budgets, latency budgets.

- Led five or more engineers with both design authority and delivery accountability.

Good to have Skills :

- Azure application stack : Container Apps or App Service, AKS, API Management, Front Door, Entra External ID.

- Orchestration frameworks : LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, and MCP servers or clients.

- Azure AI Search, vector databases, hybrid retrieval and reranking.

- Data-heavy interfaces : dashboards, charting, large tables, ownership of a design system.

- Document, voice or multimodal input pipelines.

- Zero-to-one experience, or a product taken to first client deployment.

- Demonstrated inference cost optimisation at the application
