Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced LAN Design Engineer to lead the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of medium to large-scale enterprise network infrastructures. This role requires deep technical expertise in modern data center and campus networking, strong automation capabilities, and the ability to provide Level 3 support during production deployments and ongoing operations.

The ideal candidate will work in a distributed global environment, collaborating with peer architects and engineering teams to ensure architectural consistency, technical excellence, and strategic alignment across the network landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Design & Architecture :

- Lead the analysis, definition, design, and validation of enterprise LAN and data center network infrastructures.

- Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions aligned with business and cloud transformation strategies.

- Ensure architectural cohesion and adherence to network standards and best practices across teams.

Implementation & Deployment :

- Oversee and support the initial production deployment of new network capabilities.

- Provide Level 3 (L3) support during deployment phases and for complex escalations during business hours.

- Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior engineers and operational teams.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code :

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure deployment.

- Develop and maintain automation using :

1. Python

2. Ansible playbooks

3. Jinja2 templates

4. GitHub-based workflows

- Promote network automation, standardization, and repeatability across environments.

Collaboration & Governance :

- Work closely with peer engineers, architects, and operations teams in a distributed organization.

- Provide architectural oversight, design reviews, and escalation support for other teams.

- Ensure alignment with long-term network strategy, security requirements, and cloud integration initiatives.

Technical Skills & Expertise :

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing, including :

1. Cisco NX-OS

- Expertise with Cisco APIC, including :

- In-depth knowledge of modern network technologies :

- 10+ years of experience in enterprise LAN, data center, or network infrastructure engineering.
