Job Title : L3 Support Engineer
Location : Bangalore, India
Experience : 510 Years
Shift : 24/7 Support (Rotational 2 weeks day shift / 2 weeks night shift)
Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced L3 Support Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native automation development, containerized environments, and network deployment automation. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Python/JavaScript automation, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate in high-availability, mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
L3 Technical Support & Troubleshooting :
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues in automation and network deployment.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents, ensuring permanent fixes and preventive measures.
- Provide real-time debugging and resolution for containerized application issues in OpenShift and Docker environments.
Automation Development & Maintenance :
- Develop, enhance, and maintain end-to-end automation scripts using Python and JavaScript.
- Implement automation for deployment, configuration, and validation tasks in a cloud-native ecosystem.
- Work with automation orchestration tools such as TOSCA and Mistral Engine to streamline network deployment workflows.
Container Orchestration & Cloud-Native Operations :
- Manage, monitor, and optimize OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters, including application lifecycle, scaling, and security configurations.
- Design and deploy Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
System & Network Management :
- Utilize Linux/Unix administration skills for system monitoring, shell scripting, and performance tuning.
- Support network automation workflows, leveraging basic to intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VLANs, etc.).
- Integrate automation processes with network management systems and validate network device configurations.
Database & Data Analysis :
- Use SQL queries for troubleshooting data-related issues, log analysis, and reporting.
- Work with structured/unstructured log data to diagnose system anomalies.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Partner with DevOps, Development, and QA teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and detailed RCA reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in automation, DevOps, and cloud-native systems.
Required Technical Skills :
- Programming & Automation: Python, JavaScript, Shell scripting.
- Automation Tools: TOSCA, Mistral Engine.
- Containers & Orchestration: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Cloud-Native Practices: CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, API integrations.
- OS Skills: Linux/Unix system administration.
- Networking: TCP/IP fundamentals, routing, VLANs, network troubleshooting.
- Databases: SQL basics (MySQL/PostgreSQL preferred).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Exposure to telecom network automation projects is a plus.
