L3 Storage Architect - SAN

Key Responsibilities :

- SAN Management : Design, configure, and manage SAN fabric infrastructure, including zoning, LUN masking, and troubleshooting connectivity issues on various SAN switches.

- Protocol Configuration : Implement and manage iSCSI and Fibre Channel (FC) configurations for optimal storage connectivity.

- VMware Integration : Architect and manage storage solutions for VMware environments, including datastore provisioning, mapping, and performance optimization.

- Multi-Vendor SAN Knowledge : Possess a strong understanding and hands-on experience with Dell Compellent SAN arrays.

- Azure Storage Solutions : Design, implement, and manage storage solutions within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Blob Storage, Azure Files, and Azure Persistent Disks.

- Performance Optimization : Proactively monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal system responsiveness.

- Upgrades and Maintenance : Plan and execute storage system upgrades, firmware updates, and routine maintenance activities with minimal disruption.

- Capacity Planning : Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure adequate storage resources are available to meet future demands.

- Troubleshooting and Incident Management : Lead the resolution of complex storage-related

incidents and provide root cause analysis.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and best practices.

- Collaboration : Work closely with server administrators, network engineers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of storage solutions.

Key Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in configuring and managing SAN switches (zoning, LUN masking).

- Proven ability to configure and troubleshoot iSCSI and Fibre Channel (FC) connectivity.

- Solid understanding and practical experience with VMware storage integration and datastore

mapping.

- Experience with Dell Compellent SAN storage arrays.

- Hands-on experience with Azure storage services: Blob Storage, Files, and Persistent Disks.

- Proven ability to perform storage performance tuning and execute storage system upgrades.
