Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Cloud Linux Engineer (L3) with deep expertise in Linux systems administration, cloud infrastructure, and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing enterprise-grade Linux environments (RHEL, SUSE, or Oracle Linux), troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing robust, automated solutions to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert-level Linux administration and operational support across RHEL, SUSE, or Oracle Linux environments.

- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for critical server and OS issues.

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.

- Manage Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes in line with ITIL best practices.

- Configure and manage logical volumes and storage using LVM or VxVM.

- Handle network configuration and tuning (IP tables, routing, interfaces, etc.).

- Conduct OS performance tuning, hardening, and security compliance reviews.

- Perform system recovery, backup validation, and OS crash analysis.

- Administer and maintain SUSE Manager or Red Hat Satellite for patch and configuration management.

- Design, configure, and maintain cluster technologies such as Red Hat Cluster, Pacemaker, or Veritas Cluster.

- Support SAP environments running on Linux platforms.

- Deploy and manage workloads in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Implement and manage configuration management and automation using Ansible.

- Work with containerization and DevOps tools such as Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration and engineering.

- Strong expertise in RHEL, SUSE, or Oracle Linux (certifications such as RHCE, SCA, or equivalent preferred).

- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.

- Experience in storage, clustering, and performance tuning.

- Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with SAP system administration on Linux platforms is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications (optional but advantageous) :

- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) / Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)

- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent Azure/GCP certificatio
