Key Responsibilities :
L3 Network Support & Troubleshooting :
- Provide advanced (Level 3) support for escalated incidents related to Cisco Firewalls, Meraki Switches, and Aruba Wireless networks.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for routing, switching, wireless, and security-related issues.
- Analyze root causes and implement permanent fixes for recurring problems.
Configuration & Maintenance :
- Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco ASA / Firepower / FTD firewalls including VPNs, ACLs, and NAT policies.
- Manage Meraki MS series switches - VLANs, trunking, L3 routing, link aggregation, and port security.
- Deploy and support Aruba Wireless infrastructure including controllers, access points, and wireless SSIDs.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization :
- Monitor network health using tools like Meraki Dashboard, Aruba Central, and SolarWinds.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and connectivity issues.
- Optimize configurations to improve reliability, redundancy, and security.
Security & Compliance :
- Manage network security configurations and policies.
- Conduct periodic audits and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Collaborate with L2 teams for escalations and provide mentoring or training as needed.
- Maintain updated documentation on configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Technical Skills Required :
- Firewalls : Cisco ASA / Firepower / FTD (Policy Management, VPN, NAT, Access Control)
- Switching : Cisco Meraki MS Series (L2/L3 switching, VLANs, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel)
- Wireless : Aruba Access Points & Controllers (SSID management, radio tuning, roaming, authentication)
- Routing Protocols : OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- VPN Technologies : IPsec, SSL VPN, Remote Access VPNs
- Monitoring Tools : Cisco Meraki Dashboard, Aruba Central, SolarWinds, PRTG
- Other : DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, QoS, Network Segmentation, HA/Redundancy Concepts
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 710 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network support (L3 level).
Certifications Preferred :
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Security / CCNP Enterprise)
- Meraki Certified (CMNA/CMNO)
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
