L3 Database Support Engineer - Oracle DB/SQL Server

Job Title : Database L3 Support Core Banking / Fintech (Oracle & MS SQL DBA)

Work Mode : Onsite, 5 days working from office

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Database L3 Support Engineer to manage mission-critical databases in a Core Banking / Fintech environment. This role involves Oracle 19.x & MS SQL Server administration, performance tuning, security & compliance, backup/recovery management, and L3 incident resolution. You will also coordinate with vendors, ensure ITSM compliance, and mentor DBA team members, while working fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support Oracle 19.x and MS SQL Server databases

- Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

- Monitor database performance and implement tuning/optimization

- Ensure database & application security in line with BFSI / BSA-AML compliance

- Troubleshoot and resolve L3 incidents, adhering to SLA timelines

- Follow ITSM processes ticket logging, tracking, escalation

- Lead vendor coordination and DBA team training & mentoring

Mandatory Skills & Certifications :

- 7+ years in Database Management (BFSI / Core Banking / Fintech)

- 5+ years as Oracle/MS SQL DBA with 2+ years as L2 DBA

- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

- Expertise in PL/SQL, Backup/Restore, Performance Tuning, UNIX Shell Scripting

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Database migration & upgrade experience

- Automation for DB monitoring & backups

- Team leadership & mentoring experience

- Prior experience in BFSI / Fintech domain
