Location : Bangalore or Pune

Shift Timing : US Shift (6 : 30 PM 3 : 30 AM IST; may vary with daylight saving)

Project Overview :

This role focuses on application repackaging, certification, deployment, and support across Windows and Mac platforms. The engineer will be responsible for converting applications into Windows Installer packages and Microsoft App-V sequences, ensuring compatibility, security, and smooth enterprise deployment.

Role Summary (Contractor Role) :

The engineer will perform application repackaging, testing (QA & UAT), production promotion, and provide technical support for installation, uninstallation, and reporting. The position involves collaboration with technical teams for application certification, compatibility assessment, OSD management, vulnerability remediation, and ServiceNow ticket handling.

Responsibilities :

- Repackage applications into MSI, MST, App-V formats using industry-standard tools

- Perform internal testing, QA, UAT, and manage production release cycles

- Troubleshoot packaging issues and ensure compliance with enterprise standards

- Work on SCCM/SMS software distribution for deployment and updates

- Manage OSD, vulnerability remediation, and remediation processes

- Handle ServiceNow ticketing for incident, request, and change management

- Collaborate with infra, security, and application teams on certification & compatibility

- Maintain documentation, reports, release notes, and technical configurations

- Work across Windows and Mac environments for application packaging and validation

Must-Have Skills :

- 34+ years hands-on experience in application repackaging & SCCM/SMS software distribution

- Strong experience with :

a. Microsoft App-V sequencing & troubleshooting

b. InstallShield, AdminStudio

c. VB Scripting, PowerShell

d. Citrix, Active Directory

e. Solid understanding of :

f. File permissions

g. GPO

- OS-level application interactions

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Excellent written & verbal communication

- Exposure to Office 365, Azure DevOps

- Knowledge of cross-platform deployment tools

Hands-on expertise with the following :

- VBScript, PowerShell

- Active Directory

Qualifications : BE / Bachelors degree with relevant experience
