Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Storage Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Hitachi, Dell EMC, and NetApp storage systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our storage environment to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Storage Infrastructure Management :

- Design, implement, and manage storage solutions using Hitachi, Dell EMC, and NetApp systems.

- Monitor and optimize storage performance to meet SLAs and business requirements.

- Manage storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and backup solutions.

Troubleshooting and Support :

- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues related to storage systems.

- Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated storage issues.

- Work closely with vendors for hardware replacements, upgrades, and support.

Automation and Scripting :

- Leverage tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Python for storage automation.

Data Protection and Disaster Recovery :

- Ensure effective data protection using replication and backup strategies.

- Participate in designing and executing disaster recovery plans and tests.

Capacity Planning and Reporting :

- Monitor storage utilization and perform capacity planning to meet future demands.

- Generate and maintain reports on storage performance and usage.

Compliance and Security :

- Ensure storage solutions adhere to company security and compliance policies.

- Implement encryption and data protection mechanisms.

Collaboration :

- Work with cross-functional teams, including network, server, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and support of storage systems.

- Provide input for storage-related projects and participate in system upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills :

Education : Any Graduate (Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field).

Experience : 5+ years in enterprise storage administration, including Hitachi, Dell EMC, and NetApp environments.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting storage arrays and SAN/NAS solutions.

- Proficiency in using storage management tools and software (e.g., Hitachi Command Suite, Dell EMC Unisphere, NetApp ONTAP).

- Strong understanding of RAID, LUNs, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS/CIFS protocols.

- Knowledge of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, CommVault).

- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and integration (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Automation Skills : Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage priorities.

Preferred Certifications :

- Hitachi Certified Specialist or Professional.

- Dell EMC Proven Professional (e.g., PowerMax, Powerstore).

- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE).
