Role : SOC Analyst (L2 / Senior Analyst)

Role Overview :

We are hiring a SOC Analyst (L2) to monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a 24x7 environment. The role involves SIEM/EDR monitoring, incident response, and mentoring junior analysts, ensuring high-quality security operations and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM/EDR tools (e.g., Splunk)

- Investigate, triage, and respond to low-to-medium complexity security incidents

- Act as an escalation point for junior analysts and mentor L1 team members

- Ensure incidents are handled within SLA and defined SOC processes

- Perform log analysis (network, firewall, endpoint, IDS) to detect threats

- Develop and improve playbooks, use cases, and detection rules

- Collaborate with teams for incident response and threat hunting activities

- Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and audit trails

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3 to 5 years of experience in SOC / Security Operations

- Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred) and EDR solutions

- Knowledge of incident response lifecycle and threat analysis

- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, networking, and security concepts

- Experience in log analysis and SPL query writing

- Understanding of cyber threats, attack patterns, and detection techniques

- Good communication and analytical skills

Nice to Have :

- Certifications : Security+, GCIH, ECIH, CEH or similar

- Experience with cloud security (AWS/GCP)

- Knowledge of ISO 27001 / security frameworks
