- Demonstrable experience of delivering Database operation teams/projects, with specific knowledge of service transition and supportability of solution in a Production environment of Oracle DB and MySQL, SQL Server administration understanding

- Demonstrable experience managing technical teams

- Understanding of Operational Acceptance, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability (HA) in a Production environment.

- Understanding of Change Management, Incident Management and Release and Configuration management processes.

- Infrastructure services delivery using offshore/onshore capabilities; an understanding of the complexities of working with teams.

- Ensures availability, security and integrity of assigned databases.

- Resolves database performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues.

- Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software. Installs and configures database management software (DBMS) including RAC and Data Guard and applicable service packs and/or patches.

- Develops and implements database maintenance plans, including performing integrity checks, updating statistics and monitoring security and hardware resource utilization.

- Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC

- Participates in data modeling and database logical and physical design.

- Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance.

- Configures database server to work with middleware, web servers and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools.

- Design and implement a backup & recovery system and have extensive hands-on experience on various RMAN Backup and Recovery Scenarios.

- Expert in provisioning and decommission of database including Instance/RAC/ASM/grid control/data guard

- Gathers and shares business requirements for their towers with the teams and ensures effective and efficient solutions are developed and implemented
