About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Network Management L2 Specialist with a minimum of 7+ years of experience to maintain and enhance our mission-critical production network infrastructure in a 6-days working, Work from Office environment in Mumbai. This role requires deep, hands-on technical expertise in Cisco Routing, Switching, and Wireless domains, ensuring peak performance, high availability, and adherence to strict service management protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network Configuration and Maintenance : Manage the end-to-end configuration, deployment, and maintenance of production network hardware and software, including core routers, switches (Cisco Catalyst), firewalls, and comprehensive wireless infrastructure.
- Wireless Infrastructure Management : Expertly handle the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Cisco Prime, and resolve complex Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Routing & Switching Operations : Configure and maintain advanced routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP, and manage complex features like MPLS, QoS (Quality of Service), and Multicasting within the established IP schema.
- Service Management : Execute essential ITIL processes, performing incident, problem, change, and access management, ensuring rigorous uptime guarantees and timely application of patches.
- Security & Compliance : Maintain and manage device security components, including updating software versions, firmware, certificates, and backups across all network devices.
- Auditing and Reporting : Conduct periodic network audits, risk analysis, prepare detailed RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documentation, and produce accurate reports on network performance, availability, and capacity.
- Operational Excellence : Oversee team management tasks and coordinate seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders for smooth network operations and continual service improvement.
- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical network documentation, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and knowledge base articles.
Must-Have Skills (Technical & Functional) :
- Routing/Switching : Expert, hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and ASR/ISR routers.
- Protocols : Deep proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting dynamic Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Advanced Networking : Practical experience implementing and supporting MPLS, QoS, Multicasting, and IP schema design/management.
- Wireless : Expertise in WLAN tuning and firmware upgrades on Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs).
- Management : Strong skills in Device configuration & backup management, ensuring version control and rapid recovery.
- Reporting : Proven ability to generate actionable Network performance, availability, and capacity reporting.
- Operational Details : Experience working in a 24x7 support environment with an on-call rotation for major changes and incidents, utilizing Cisco tools and ticketing systems.
Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have) :
- Working knowledge of Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for secure network access control.
- Working knowledge of Cisco Mobility Service Engine (MSE) for location-based services.
Qualifications :
Education : B.Tech/BE or equivalent technical qualification (Masters in IT preferred).
Certifications : Professional-level certifications preferred, such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNA-Wireless, or CCNP-Wireless.
