We are looking for Hitachi Storage L2/L3 SME who has worked extensively on the below :

- Candidate should have hands-on experience on Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support Eg.

- Mid-Range F350, Enterprise G5200, G5600 (allocation, reclaim, lun expansion, lun deletion, storage disk/LDEVs formatting etc).

- Difference between above storages MUST.

- Storage pool creation, pool expansion, pool deletion MUST.

- Candidate should have hands-on experience on zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, both CLI and GUI and CCI HORCM MUST.

- Storage replication technologies like GAD, HUR, True Copy, Local Replication etc MUST.

- Monitoring tools OPS Center Analyser, Hi-Track MUST.

- Troubleshooting skills checking performance issue at storage level, IO Errors etc MUST.

- Good communication skills and able to manage shifts single handed MUST.

Role & Responsibilities :

Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration for SAN and storage environments, including :

- Collaborate with Customers storage support teams.

- Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned task(s), functional area(s) or project(s).

- Support the design, operation, workflow and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure.

- Help maintain systems level maintenance for storage infrastructure.

- Responsible for tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth.

- Maintain storage documentation, procedures and reporting.

- Provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration.

- Storage Allocations to server infrastructure.

- Manage infrastructure events.

- Capacity Management.

- Monitor storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity.

- Perform capacity analysis; analyze performance data and trends.

- Responsible for tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth.

Problem resolution :

- Preliminary Problem diagnosis and documentation.

- Co-ordinate with Hitachi Global Support for Incident resolution.

- Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis.

- Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and Company change management policies.

- Interface with assigned Hitachi storage engineers to manage the implementation of all additional storage infrastructure and storage services.

- Mentor and train junior admins.

- Oversee the design, installation, configuration and de-provision of storage solutions.

Performance Management for SAN and storage :

- Perform capacity tuning; provide remediation recommendation.

- Responsible for providing Disaster Recovery solutions as it relates to SAN and NAS storage by developing and maintaining a library of procedures for disaster recovery documentation.

- Data movement and replication.

- Business Resumption Testing (DR) for storage.

Skill requirements :

- 7 years+ experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above.

- Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.

- Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S including basic cluster management.

- Strong verbal and written communication.

- Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.
