L2/L3 OpenShift Infrastructure/Kubernetes Administrator

We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Infrastructure Kubernetes Administrator(L2 /L3) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management and operations of OpenShift infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes. You will work to ensure the efficient deployment, management, and operation of containers, clusters, and related technologies in a 24x7 support coverage environment. Your responsibilities will include managing container lifecycles, handling incident management, performing system monitoring, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency and ensure SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Container Lifecycle Management :

- Manage the container lifecycle including creation, deployment, health checks, and updates.

- Oversee CI/CD pipeline management and handle Dockerfile and image management.

- Incident/Service Management :

- Handle incident, service, change, and problem management, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with SLAs.

- Perform OS patching, node administration, and PV/PVC backup and restore.

- Cluster Provisioning & Management :

- Provision, register, and onboard clusters in the CMDB.

- Set up backup configurations and implement monitoring setups using Prometheus and Zabbix.

- System Integration & Security :

- Ensure integration of RBAC, CRD, and LDAP into the OpenShift cluster.

- Perform vulnerability remediation, routine patching, and update validation.

- Health Monitoring & Automation :

- Monitor CPU, memory, disk usage, and other system health metrics.

- Perform cluster/operator/service log analysis, and implement automated remediation based on alerts.

- Scheduled Maintenance & Compliance :

- Manage scheduled patching, cluster backups, and ensure RPO/RTO compliance.

- Maintain admin access compliance (RBAC, syslog, NTP, ILO, etc.) and participate in audits.

- Capacity Planning & Documentation :

- Assist with capacity planning, dashboards, and ensure thorough DR documentation.

- Produce and maintain SOPs, RPO/RTO assurance, and other key documentation.

- Tools & Platforms :

- Monitoring : Zabbix, Grafana

- Cluster Management : Red Hat ACM, Trident (Storage), Quay

- Security : Prisma Defender

- Automation & Backups : Custom SOPs, automation pipelines

Required Skills & Experience :

- Experience :

- 4 to 14 years of experience in OpenShift infrastructure and Kubernetes administration.

- Hands-on experience with container lifecycle management, CI/CD pipeline management, and node administration.

- Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, PL/SQL, and Unix for managing systems and

performing troubleshooting.

- Experience with Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with RBAC, LDAP, CRD, Vulnerability remediation, and capacity planning.

- Incident & Service Management :

- Proficient in incident, service, change, and problem management with experience ensuring SLA compliance.

- Automation & Security :

- Experience with automation tools and security tools (e.g., Prisma Defender).

- Strong understanding of performance monitoring and automated remediation.
