Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled L2/L3 Network Security Engineer with hands-on experience in network & security infrastructure operations. The role will focus on daily support, troubleshooting, and implementation of security controls across firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless systems in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement secure network architectures for banking systems across LAN, WAN, DC/DR, and Cloud.

- Provide L3/L4 escalation support and act as technical authority for complex incidents.

- Lead incident response for network security breaches, including RCA and permanent fixes.

- Define, enforce, and continuously improve network security policies aligned with RBI, PCI DSS, ISO27001, ITIL.

- Act as bank SPOC for DCDR migrations, ensuring high availability and resilience.

- Conduct regular architecture reviews, vendor meetings, and audits to maintain SLAs.

- Guide, mentor, and upskill junior engineers in security best practices.

- Stay updated on latest threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging network/security technologies.

Required Skills & Technologies :

- Deep expertise in firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, FortiGate).

- Strong knowledge of routing/switching protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; Nexus/Aruba switches.

- Hands-on with load balancing (F5), VPNs, NAC (Forescout), AAA (Cisco ISE).

- Enterprise-level wireless solutions - Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus.

- Advanced packet analysis (Wireshark, Riverbed) and monitoring (SolarWinds, NetFlow).

- Strong understanding of public cloud security (AWS, Azure, OCI).

- Proven experience with regulatory compliance in banking IT environments.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
