L2 Database Administrator - SQL Server

Job Title : MSSQL Server DBA Level 2

Location : Bangalore

Notice : Immediate to Serving NP

Experience : 7+

Summary :

We are looking for a motivated and skilled MSSQL Server DBA Level 2 to join our team and play a key role in managing and supporting our critical database infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, security management, and working closely with developers and other IT professionals.

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and deploy MSSQL Server instances

- Manage database security, including user accounts, permissions, and roles

- Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues

- Perform backups and restore operations

- Script automation tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell

- HA/DR setup configure and manage (Log shipping, Mirroring, Always on AG, Clustering etc.

- Document database activities and procedures

- Work with developers to understand and optimize database queries

- Stay up-to-date on the latest MSSQL Server technologies and best practices

Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA

- Strong understanding of MSSQL Server architecture and functionality

- Experience with performance monitoring tools

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Experience with T-SQL scripting

- Working knowledge of database security principles

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills (Level 2) :

- Experience with database performance tuning tools

- Experience with database HA & DR solutions (Log shipping, Mirroring, Always on AG, Clustering etc.

- Experience with database migration methodologies
