L2 Data Protection Engineer

Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced L2 Engineer with a strong background in Linux administration, a solid understanding of networking settings in Linux environments, and proficiency in different types of storage environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Linux systems, possess a deep understanding of Linux security concepts, and be familiar with data encryption at rest. If you have worked on Vormetric Data Security Manager or CipherTrust Manager, it will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Linux Administration :

- Hands-on experience in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Networking in Linux :

- Proficient in configuring and managing networking settings in Linux environments.

- Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other related technologies.

Storage Environments :

- Understanding and operation of different types of storage environments, including but not limited to SAN, NAS, and DAS.

- Proficient in managing storage configurations, volumes, and ensuring optimal performance.

Linux Security :

- In-depth knowledge of Linux security concepts and best practices.

- Implementation and management of security measures to protect Linux systems from potential threats.

Data Encryption at Rest :

- Familiarity with data encryption at rest methodologies and implementation.

- Experience in deploying and managing encryption solutions to safeguard sensitive data.

Troubleshooting and Support :

- Provide second-level support for Linux-related issues, investigating and resolving incidents in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.

Documentation :

- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to Linux systems, configurations, security measures, and storage environments.

- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of knowledge base articles.

Additional Skills (Preferred) :

- Previous experience working with Vormetric Data Security Manager or CipherTrust Manager.

- Familiarity with cryptographic techniques and key management.
