L1 Unix Administrator

Job Title : Unix Administrator (L1)

Location : Mumbai (Onsite Contract)

Experience Requirement :

For Engineering Graduates/MCA or equivalent : Minimum 2 years

For Others (BCA/M.Sc./Diploma/Graduate/Postgraduate in CS/IT/ECE) : Minimum 34 years

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong operational & troubleshooting knowledge of Unix/Linux variants (HP-UX, RHEL, AIX, Ubuntu, CentOS, Sun Solaris, etc.)

- Experience with clustering technologies (MC ServiceGuard / SUN Cluster / Veritas Cluster)

- Patch installation & management expertise

- Server hardening hands-on experience

- Basic understanding of architectural design in related technology & hardware

- Practical experience in server management, backups, and enterprise server management tools

- Solid knowledge of networking (configuration & maintenance)

- Ability to mount/unmount physical hardware

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Exposure to HA-Proxy & Hypervisor Management (RHEV, VMware, etc.)

- Experience working in large enterprise or data center environments

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools

Education :

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or equivalent recognized by Govt. of India.
