Job Summary :
The Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer / Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in guiding the technical direction, development, and maintenance of L'Oréal Americas' e-commerce platforms. This position demands profound expertise in SFCC development, including advanced storefront customization, complex backend system integrations, and performance optimization. Beyond hands-on development, this role provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-performing, scalable, and secure e-commerce solutions that meet strategic business needs of L'Oréal.
Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead and mentor a small team of SFCC developers, fostering their growth, providing constructive feedback during code reviews, and ensuring adherence to technical best practices.
- Architectural & Technical Guidance : Contribute to the technical design and architectural roadmap for SFCC solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and SFCC features.
- Advanced SFCC Development : Develop high-quality, complex SFCC code for custom features, integrations with third-party systems, and advanced storefront customizations.
- Performance Optimization : Drive efforts to optimize SFCC platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure a seamless and responsive customer experience.
- Issue Resolution : Lead the investigation and resolution of critical production issues and complex technical challenges, providing expert support.
- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with other developers, architects, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and architectural vision.
- Innovation & Research : Stay current with the latest SFCC features and e-commerce technologies, exploring new approaches to enhance L'Oréal's platforms.
- Documentation Oversight : Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for SFCC code, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce development, with a strong focus on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
- 3+ years of proven experience in a technical leadership, team lead, or mentorship role, guiding and developing junior or mid-level developers.
- Extensive experience in architecting, developing, and implementing custom SFCC cartridges, controllers, and scripts for highly scalable and performant e-commerce solutions.
- Deep and comprehensive understanding of SFCC architecture, APIs, and advanced development best practices, including experience with multi-site implementations.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex integrations between SFCC and other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, PIM, and various payment gateways.
- Strong experience with server-side scripting and framework-agnostic front-end technologies
- Extensive knowledge of backend software design patterns
- Expertise with SFCC Business Manager configuration and administration.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and experience leading continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines within an agile environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Extensive experience with agile development methodologies, leading development sprints and project delivery.
- Experience working with remote distributed teams and stakeholders
- SFCC Certification(s) highly preferred.
