Role : Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

Pod Coordination & Engagement Management :

- Facilitate communication and alignment between autonomous development pods (Content, Player, Backend, Mobile, Web, etc.)

- Establish and maintain cross-pod dependencies, ensuring smooth handoffs and integration points

- Coordinate resource allocation and timeline alignment across multiple concurrent initiatives

Product Metrics & Performance Insights :

- Monitor and analyze key streaming metrics including user engagement, Conversions

- Generate actionable insights from user behavior data, A/B test results, and platform performance analytics

- Drive data-driven decision making by translating metrics into specific engineering and product recommendations

- Create executive dashboards and reports highlighting platform health and improvement opportunities

Process Automation & Operational Efficiency :

- Identify and implement automation opportunities across development workflows and operational processes

- Work with different teams and stakeholders to reduce company level operational overhead

- Drive initiatives to streamline cross-pod communication and eliminate redundant touchpoints

- Establish automated reporting and alerting systems to reduce operational burden on technical teams

- Champion tools and processes that enable self-service capabilities and reduce dependency bottlenecks

Project Delivery & Execution :

- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment for complex, multi-pod initiatives

- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies

- Track and report on project progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions

- Ensure projects meet quality standards, performance requirements, and compliance guidelines for streaming platforms

Technical Stakeholder Management :

- Partner with Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and Architecture teams to define technical requirements and feasibility

- Collaborate with DevOps and Platform teams to ensure proper CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies

- Work closely with QA teams to establish testing strategies and ensure robust quality assurance across pods

- Interface with external vendors and third-party integrations (CDNs, DRM providers, analytics platforms)

Process Optimization & Methodology :

- Implement and refine development methodologies tailored to OTT development workflows

- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure pod performance, delivery velocity, and cross-team collaboration effectiveness

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and reduce cycle times

- Maintain project documentation, post-mortems, and knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements :

Technical & Analytical Background :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field (technical degree preferred but not required)

- 1+ years of technical project management experience, preferably in media, streaming, or entertainment technology

- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and generating actionable insights

- Understanding of OTT architecture and streaming technology fundamentals

- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and data visualization platform

- Proven track record managing complex, multi-team technical projects with competing priorities

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release management processes

- Experience designing and implementing process improvements that reduce operational overhead

- Experience working with product metrics, KPIs, and performance analytics

- Track record of using data insights to drive product improvements and technical optimizations

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments

Good to have :

- Previous experience at streaming platforms, media companies, or entertainment technology providers

- Knowledge of video technology stack and content delivery optimization

- Understanding of content licensing, monetization models, and user engagement strategies

- Familiarity with mobile and web development practices for consumer-facing applications

- SQL proficiency for data analysis and reporting

- Understanding of API design principles and integration patterns

- Experience with workflow automation tools and scripting languages
