Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Kubernetes-based platforms. The role involves owning container orchestration strategy, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of applications, and guiding teams on Kubernetes best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-premises and/or cloud)

- Act as the technical authority for Kubernetes architecture and operations

- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes

- Implement high availability, scaling, and fault tolerance strategies

- Configure and manage Kubernetes networking (Services, Ingress, CNI)

- Implement security best practices (RBAC, Network Policies, Secrets)

- Monitor and troubleshoot cluster and application issues

- Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines

- Manage deployments using Helm charts

- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and performance tuning

- Create documentation, standards, and operational runbooks

- Mentor and support DevOps and engineering teams

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE / OpenShift / On-prem)

- Deep understanding of Kubernetes core components (API Server, etcd, Scheduler, Controller Manager)

- Experience with Docker / containerization

- Proficiency in Helm

- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (Ingress, Load Balancers, DNS)

- Strong Linux and troubleshooting skills

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

- Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Good to Have :

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)

- Experience with security tools (OPA, Kyverno, Trivy)

- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
