Lead Engineer - Build the core of Indias next-gen NBFC engine

Join us to lead the engineering technology behind our NBFC platform-where AI-augmented workflows become foundational. Youll define the technical roadmap, integrate AI tooling into daily engineering, and build scalable, compliant systems that empower digital lending.

What Youll Do :

- Architect, build, and maintain core backend/data systems for credit pipelines, risk engines, and transaction workflows-using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Roo, Cursor, prompt - based agents) to accelerate delivery.

- Ship rapidly with AI - powered MVPs; measure product impact, iterate based on feedback, and operationalize high-quality features.

- Own end-to-end delivery : from problem framing through design, code, deployment, monitoring, and iterations.

- Mentor and lead engineers-driving code quality, reviews, ownership, and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, risk, product, and compliance teams to deliver technical solutions that align with regulatory requirements.

- Implement DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and AI-enabled automation to reduce manual overhead and speed development cycles.

Who You Are :

- AI-First Mindset : Youve embedded AI agents, LLMs, or prompt-engineering into real product workflows to boost engineering output and impact.

- Startup DNA / Agency Attitude : Youve thrived in high-growth or early-stage environments where scrappiness, bias for action, and taking ownership mattered. You prefer autonomy and high stakes, low resources.

- Technical Leadership : You bring 7+ years experience in backend or full-stack engineering (Golang (preferred), Python, Java, Node.js), cloud infra (AWS/GCP/OCI), data pipelines, SQL/NoSQL, event streaming, Kubernetes, Serverless (Lambda/Fargate).

- Fintech & NBFC Exposure (preferred) : Familiarity with overall credit concepts, KYC/AML, compliance frameworks, and audit-grade software.

- Communication, Mentorship & Ownership : You clearly articulate tech ideas to non-tech stakeholders, mentor others, and advocate for product and process improvements. Add something on ownership

Qualifications :

- 4+ years in software engineering, preferably in fintech or high-throughput systems with almost 0 error rates.

- Experience applying AI tools (LLMs, agents, prompt systems) to real development or product workflows.

- Demonstrated success shipping production-scale systems-scalable, reliable, and secure.

- (NIT / IIT) Only- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent; strong system design and architecture skills.

- Prior work at startups or fast-growth firms where you owned delivery under ambiguity and tight timelines.
