Key Responsibilities :
- Performance Test Execution : Understand and analyze performance test requirements, then develop and execute performance test script suites. This includes capturing and analyzing test results.
- System Reliability & Scalability : Conduct system performance testing to ensure the reliability, capacity, and scalability of applications.
- Reporting & Monitoring : Report performance test progress, document defects, and maintain a performance script repository.
- Scripting : Write various test scripts for different test phases, including integration, regression, and system testing.
- Requirement Analysis : Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements for validity and feasibility, specifically from a performance perspective.
- Stakeholder Interaction : Interact with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and Business teams to gather performance testing (PT) and performance engineering (PE) requirements.
- Tooling & Efficiency : Help identify tools and techniques to improve testing quality and efficiency.
- Issue Escalation & Mitigation : Raise issues or concerns to stakeholders upfront and, if required, contribute to mitigation plans.
- Metrics Collection & Analysis : Collect and analyze all relevant performance metrics (Client Side, Server Side, DB, Network, and Load Balancer) to identify bottlenecks and suggest corrective actions.
- Benchmark Design : Design and create benchmark scenarios and prepare performance benchmark documents.
- Reporting : Prepare test summary reports for management review.
- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with other team members and departments, assisting in other performance engineering activities as needed.
