Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Test Strategy & Planning : Lead the development of comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and robust test cases for all product releases.
- Team Leadership & Management : Organize, manage, and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring optimal resource allocation and high performance.
- Testing Oversight : Oversee the execution of all testing phases, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Quality Gatekeeper : Act as the primary gatekeeper for product quality, ensuring that all releases meet defined quality benchmarks before going live.
- Defect Management : Implement and manage a robust defect lifecycle, including identification, documentation, tracking, and verification of bug fixes.
- Process Improvement : Continuously analyze and improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall product quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide timely feedback, and align on release readiness.
- Reporting & Metrics : Track key QA metrics, provide clear status reports to management, and ensure transparency throughout the testing process.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Extensive previous experience in Quality Assurance (QA), with a proven track record in a lead or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing (QA) methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Exceptional analytical skills to dissect complex problems and identify root causes.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure no defect goes unnoticed.
- Superior problem-solving skills to overcome testing challenges and optimize solutions.
- Solid understanding and practical experience in Project Management principles within a software development context.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Previous experience in a similar industry is a strong plus
