About the Role :

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for building and scaling Kissht's User Platform. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Python and Java, along with good knowledge of and comfort working with Golang. A strong FinTech, lending, payments, banking, or financial-services background is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers.

- Own the architecture, development, scalability, and reliability of the User Platform.

- Build and scale backend systems using Python and Java.

- Work with and contribute to services and applications built in Golang.

- Drive engineering best practices across design, coding, testing, deployment, and observability.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Risk, Data, Security, and other technology teams.

- Ensure high performance, availability, security, and scalability of user-facing platforms.

- Participate in system design, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.

- Own engineering delivery, timelines, quality, and team development.

- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in an Engineering Manager / Technical Lead / people-management role.

- Strong programming experience in Python and Java.

- Good knowledge of Golang and comfort working with Go-based services/applications.

- Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Experience building scalable, highly available, and reliable platforms.

- Exposure to databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.

- Experience in FinTech, Lending, Payments, Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services is strongly preferred.

- Experience in KYC, authentication, identity, lending, payments, or customer lifecycle platforms.

- Strong people management, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with high-volume financial or transactional systems.

- Exposure to KYC, authentication, identity, lending, payments, or customer lifecycle platforms.

- Experience working in a high-growth startup or FinTech environment.

- Exposure to AWS/GCP/Azure and containerized environments.
