Job Summary :

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Azure) who can seamlessly blend hands-on data engineering expertise with a solution design and architectural mindset.

This role will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance data solutions on Azure leveraging Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate is a proactive technologist who can own data pipelines end-to-end today and evolve into an Azure Data Architect in future client engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks.

- Build scalable data models and architecture leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and related services.

- Collaborate with solution architects and client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Lead data integration, transformation, and orchestration initiatives across multiple sources and targets.

- Optimize performance and cost efficiency of data workflows in Azure environments.

- Establish data engineering best practices including CI/CD, version control, and automation.

- Provide technical mentorship to junior data engineers and contribute to solution architecture discussions.

- Stay current with emerging Azure data platform capabilities and recommend modernization opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6- 8 years of experience in data engineering and data platform development.

- Deep hands-on experience with :

1. Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration and data pipeline automation.

2. Azure Databricks for data processing, transformation, and advanced analytics.

3. Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architecture.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts.

- Solid understanding of data architecture principles, data lake design, and modern data stack.

- Exposure to Azure Synapse, Power BI, and CI/CD (DevOps) integration is a plus.

- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate / Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

- Strong communication and solution presentation skills.

- Ability to transition into a Solution Architect or Lead Data Engineer role in the near future.
