Job Description

We are looking for an Android BSP architect to bring up the new Automotive SOC. On Joining our team, you will be working on the latest versions of Android Automotive to bring up interfaces and driver development. If this sounds interesting, this is what you need to apply.

Responsibilities :

- Customer interface for Driver related discussions.

- The person should be capable of understanding system requirements, deriving software requirements, and developing and integrating drivers.

- Good analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.

- Develop and maintain software design documents, specifications, and test plans for drivers.

- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

- Collaborate with external suppliers and partners to integrate software components into the overall system.

- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in automotive software development.

- Responsible for defining KPIs for the components and ensuring they are achieved.

- Guide development team for any roadblocks/support needed and triage defects.

- Collaborate within an agile cross-functional team environment.

Requirements:

- Experience: 9-12+ Years.

- 5+ Years of experience in low-level driver development.

- Minimum 5+ Years of leading the team.

- Minimum 3+ years of development experience in the Android Domain.

- Good understanding of the Android Automotive System.

- Good understanding of Android SELinux policy development.

- Linux internal (device drivers, dts).

- Experience with User and Kernel space memory management.

- Experience with bringing up technicalities of IPC, mutex, and semaphores in OS concepts, process, threading, scheduling, etc.

- Experience HW protocols, IC, SPI, and PCIe.

- Kernel Debugging techniques.

- Minimum is a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in CS or ECE.

- Experienced with low-level device driver development for embedded platforms.

- Strong leadership, planning, and organization skills.

- Mentoring skills to assist junior team members.

- Experience with BLE, USB, camera, and display drivers.

- Knowledge of deciphering bug reports, tombstones, etc.

- Solid working experience with the software lifecycle methodologies.

- Understanding of Agile methodologies and processes.

Good to have skills :

- Knowledge of QNX, Linux.

- Knowledge of Qualcomm BSP will be advantageous with knowledge of Graphics, Audio, QNX Hypervisor, and QVM configurations.

- Understanding of QNX + Android Boot Process, QNX Hypervisor, Virtual Machine, and Tools Android Studio, JIRA, Confluence, GIT, and Gerrit/GitHub.
