What you will do :
As a DevOps Lead, you will be instrumental in creating a streamlined, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports the development and deployment of our backend services.
You will focus on automating CI/CD pipelines, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and integrating DevOps practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Youll work on designing and maintaining robust microservices, enhancing system performance, and ensuring fault tolerance.
With your backend engineering expertise, you will develop APIs, integrate databases, and optimise messaging queues.
Youll be responsible for ensuring smooth deployments, high system uptime, and providing guidance to both the development and operations teams.
Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation of DevOps best practices, including automating CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as code (IaC), and container orchestration.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend services using microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that DevOps practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to enhance system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure the reliability and high availability of backend services through monitoring, logging, and fault tolerance strategies.
- Implement and maintain secure networking, firewalls, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain backend APIs, integrate databases, and optimize messaging queues (e.g. , Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Work on automating testing, deployment, and rollback processes to ensure zero-downtime releases.
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in DevOps and backend best practices.
What we are looking for :
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with advanced cloud security practices and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Familiarity with algorithm concepts and data structures to design efficient, high-performing systems.
