We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can bring their best selves to work. We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise-grade Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity for mission-critical applications across domains such as Healthcare, BFSI, Financial Services, and Retail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across production, UAT, and development environments.
- Ensure database availability, performance optimization, and capacity planning for enterprise applications.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Monitor database performance and proactively tune SQL, PL/SQL, and database configurations.
- Support high-availability architectures including Oracle RAC and standby databases.
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to support business requirements.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain clear documentation for database architecture, procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle database administration, architecture, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, and Disaster Recovery planning.
- Working knowledge of Oracle RAC and high-availability configurations.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Solid experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have :
- Oracle Certifications (OCA / OCP).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
- Domain experience in Healthcare (preferred); BFSI or Retail experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting large-scale, high-transaction enterprise systems.
