Designation : AOSP Software Developer

Experience : 3 to 12 years

Location : Bangalore

No. of positions : 8

Programming Languages :

- Proficiency in Java is essential as it forms the backbone of Android framework development.

- Exposure to C/C++ is considered a strong advantage, especially when working close to the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) or native system components.

Domain Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of Android Open Source Project (AOSP) internals is a must.

- Solid experience in Android Framework layer, particularly with system services, Binder communication, and integration with native components.

- Should be familiar with Android HAL and AOSP architecture.

- Experience working with SEPolicy, Board Configuration files, and Device Tree overlays is highly preferred.

- Experience in the Automotive Infotainment domain will be an added advantage, especially if you have worked on digital instrument clusters, multimedia systems, or connectivity stacks.

Analytical & Debugging Abilities :

- Must possess a problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system-level issues.

- Should be independently capable of debugging system issues and tracing through the Android stack.

- Hands-on experience with identifying and fixing CTS/VTS test failures is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Contribute to the design, development, integration, and debugging of Android framework modules in line with project goals.

- Interact closely with the HAL, middleware, and lower layers to ensure seamless data and service exchange.

- Drive end-to-end feature ownership from development to validation while ensuring code quality and performance.

- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including system architects, hardware engineers, and quality assurance teams.

- Remain updated with the latest AOSP changes and trends to ensure the platform is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

- Candidate must be willing to work from the client location in Bangalore, based on project needs.
