Kantar - Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Java/Selenium

About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and scalability of our next-generation data analytics platforms and enterprise products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers across multiple squads to define and implement robust test strategies in a cloud-native, microservices-driven environment. This role demands a balance of hands-on automation skills, domain knowledge, leadership, and quality-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the QA strategy, planning, and execution across Agile teams working on complex data and analytics products.

- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured, JUnit, Postman, etc.

- Develop and execute test cases for APIs, microservices, UI, and data pipelines.

- Participate in all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure quality is baked into the development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to enable CI/CD-based automated testing pipelines.

- Implement quality metrics and report dashboards to proactively identify issues and trends.

- Conduct performance, regression, smoke, and integration testing across cloud-native platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

- Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and uphold engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.

- Strong proficiency in Java/Python and automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured,

Cucumber.

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.

- Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Strong working knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, ADO, and defect tracking systems.

- Experience testing large-scale, data-heavy or analytics platforms is a strong advantage.

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications :

- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification

- Experience in Big Data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or data validation tools

- Knowledge of security/compliance testing in regulated environments

- Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)

- Previous experience in SaaS or product-based organizations
