Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SDET with strong expertise in automation and backend/API testing.

The role involves building and enhancing automation frameworks, validating backend systems, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java

- Perform API and backend testing for RESTful services

- Validate microservices-based systems and backend integrations

- Implement and execute automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines

- Collaborate with development teams on test strategy, coverage, and quality improvements

- Participate in test planning, estimation, and defect analysis

- Ensure high standards of quality across releases through automation-first practices

- Continuously improve test processes, tools, and frameworks

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- 6 - 8 years of experience in Automation / SDET roles

- Strong hands-on experience with Java for automation

- Solid experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured

- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman

- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber

- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)

- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum development practices

- Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing deliverables

Good to Have :

- Experience testing microservices or event-driven architectures

- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, LoadRunner)

- Experience with mocking tools (Mockito, WireMock, Microcks)

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
