Kanerika Software - Data Engineer - Power BI

Key Responsibilities :

- Review and analyze data models; perform GAP analysis with business needs and Power BI capabilities.

- Design and model efficient Power BI schemas optimized for performance.

- Transform and prepare data using Power BI, SQL, or Microsoft Fabric.

- Create and optimize DAX formulas, reports, and dashboards for advanced analytics.

- Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation.

- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

- Ensure BI solutions follow data governance, performance, and security standards.

Technical Skills :

performance optimization.

- Microsoft Fabric : Data pipelines, dataflows, workspace and dataset management (certification preferred).

- SQL : Query writing, stored procedures, database optimization.

- Data Transformation Tools : Power Query, Microsoft Fabric tools for data preparation.

- DAX Formulas : Advanced calculations and measures for analytics.

- Preferred Tools/Knowledge : Azure Data Factory, Excel Power Query, or similar BI tools.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 2 - 4 years of proven experience as a BI Developer or Microsoft Fabric Developer with a strong focus on Power BI
