About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and expert-level K2 Automation Developer for a 3-month remote consulting engagement. This role is ideal for a developer who has deep hands-on experience with the K2 Five or K2 BlackPearl platform and can take ownership of workflow automation projects, from design to deployment. The successful candidate must have built and managed at least 50+ K2 workflows, including complex business processes and integrated forms.

This role involves workflow migration, design, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze existing workflow processes and contribute to K2 workflow migration projects.

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom K2 workflows and SmartForms to support business automation.

- Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance across K2 applications.

- Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

- Document workflow solutions, provide knowledge transfer, and contribute to best practices.

- Assist with integrating K2 workflows into existing SharePoint environments and help align automation strategies with broader digital transformation goals.

- Provide input and feedback on overall workflow architecture and automation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in K2 development with strong knowledge of K2 BlackPearl and/or K2 Five platforms.

- Proven track record of designing, building, and managing 50+ workflows, including both simple and complex scenarios involving forms, logic, approvals, and integrations.

- Experience with K2 SmartForms, SmartObjects, Data Fields, and workflow rules.

- Solid understanding of Microsoft SharePoint (on-prem and/or Online) and ability to integrate K2 solutions into SharePoint environments.

- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Flow) for supplemental automation scenarios.

- Comfortable using Microsoft SharePoint Designer for legacy workflows.

- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in fluent, near-native English.

- Must be available at least 20 hours/week, with full availability during project hours over a continuous 3-month period without interruptions.
