Junior SAP ABAP Developer

About the Job :

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, onsite position for a professional with over 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, particularly within SAP S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful implementations across multiple SAP modules and a deep understanding of modern SAP development practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable SAP ABAP solutions across various SAP modules, including but not limited to Production Planning (PP), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Materials Management (MM), and Finance & Controlling (FICO).

- Lead and actively participate in at least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, from blueprinting to go-live and post-implementation support.

- Develop and maintain various ABAP objects, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF), utilizing Smart Forms, Module Pools, User Exits, BAdIs, and Implicit Enhancements.

- Work extensively with SAP Workflow development and modification to automate business processes.

- Utilize Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) for developing complex functionalities and custom classes/function modules.

- Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business users, and other technical teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality code.

- Adhere to Agile Software Development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Conduct thorough unit testing and support integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and accuracy of developed solutions.

- Debug and resolve complex technical issues in existing SAP systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices, particularly in SAP S/4HANA and related cloud offerings.

- (Plus) Develop and optimize HANA data models and CDS views for enhanced reporting and analytical capabilities.

- (Plus) Explore and develop solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using tools like Business Application Studio, Integration Suite, UI5, and Fiori.

- (Plus) Utilize test automation tools to streamline the testing process and ensure code quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 6+ years of demonstrated experience as an SAP ABAP developer with extensive hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Proven experience in multi-modular SAP implementations (i.e., PP, EWM, MM, FICO).

- Successful completion of at least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.

- Mandatory: Possess relevant SAP developer certifications.

- Strong proficiency in ABAP development constructs, including Reports, Smart Forms, Workflows, Module Pools, Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs), Interfaces (RFC, BAPI, IDoc), Classes, and Function Modules.

- Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

- Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks effectively and support multiple project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality results within project deadlines.

Desired Skills (Plus Points) :

- Experience with HANA data modeling and CDS views.

- Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) development, including Business Application Studio, Integration Suite, UI5/Fiori.
