Role Overview :
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with a solid foundation in both manual and automated testing who is ready to take on greater ownership of quality initiatives.
As a mid-level member of the QA team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our software products meet high standards of functionality, usability, and performance.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, contribute to test planning, and continuously seek ways to improve QA practices.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and test cases.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for web applications and APIs.
- Build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and test suites (UI/API).
- Perform detailed regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality across releases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with developers for resolution. QA Automation Engineer
- Support the release process by validating builds, conducting smoke tests, and participating in go/no-go decisions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports.
- Review and provide feedback on test coverage, automation approach, and code quality for peers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in the QA process and suggesting tools or practices to enhance team productivity.
Requirements :
- 3-6 years of experience in software quality assurance with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with testing APIs (e. g., using Postman, REST-assured) and understanding of backend/front-end testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
- Comfortable with version control systems such as Git.
- Good communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and drive quality conversations.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing tools is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
